About the Artist

I received my BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art aka MICA in 1999 and continued with a Master of Arts in Design from the University of Baltimore in 2004.

Having worked as a graphic designer and animator for over 20 years, I was eager to put the brush to the canvas again and am transitioning into a full time career as an artist. My work has been in many shows and I am grateful for the opportunity show my work.

Because of my love for hiking, mountains, forests, and wildlife, I tend to create images that reflect my personal experiences. I enjoy the satisfaction that comes when my art resonates with the viewer’s experience as well.

Oil is my medium of choice because of it’s richness and depth, but I also work in acrylic and gouache.

Special thanks to the Elkridge Furnace Inn for displaying my painting, “View of the Patapsco River” in the main dining room.
